We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Control Specialist to join our team at Parkridge Medical Center. As a key member of our infection prevention team, you will be responsible for conducting ongoing reviews of policies, procedures, and guidelines to identify infection prevention discrepancies and implementing revisions as necessary.
You will provide information to hospital committees and department managers to formulate changes in policies, procedures, and/or other processes that could reduce the spread of infection. You will interact with physicians, nurses, department managers, supervisors, and employee/occupational health and other professional/non-professional staff members to provide resource information, resolve infection prevention problems, and identify new opportunities to improve service and reduce cost.
You will develop effective policies and procedures for the department and hospital that ensures compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, CDC, CMS, and other county, state, and federal regulatory agencies. You will direct and assist in preparing reports and statistical data for the infection prevention committee, medical staff committees, medical executive committee, and the facilities administration and other committees as needed.
Requirements include an Associate Degree (RN) with certification in Infection Control within 2 years of hire or after current position as IP for 2 years, Bachelors Degree preferred, Current TN RN licensure, and 1-3 years experience in a clinical setting.
Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital located near downtown Chattanooga, offering comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services, including cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. We feature a state-of-the-art neurosurgery program, intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation services. Our patients also have access to OB-GYN services, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
