Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at CBIZ Accounting Tax and Advisory of New York LLC. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for completing all aspects of accounting, tax, and audit engagements for clients. You will execute a solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, general tax regulation, and general quality control auditing standards relative to individual client assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete all aspects of accounting, tax, and audit engagements for clients
  • Execute solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, general tax regulation, and general quality control auditing standards relative to individual client assignments
  • Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within the time requested
  • Strive to attain charge hour goals
  • Practice in early practice development activities such as memberships in qualified organizations capable of referring potential engagements
  • Execute administrative duties as assigned
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
  • Proficient in using QuickBooks and Excel
  • Proficient in accrual accounting and preparation of financial statements
  • Proficient in bookkeeping
  • Familiarity with partnership tax returns a plus
