Key Responsibilities:

  • PLC Programming: Create, develop, and troubleshoot PLC programs to ensure the effective and dependable functioning of control systems in diverse industrial settings.
  • SCADA & HMI Development: Design and maintain SCADA and HMI systems, particularly utilizing Ignition, to deliver user-friendly interfaces and real-time data visualization for operators and engineers.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Participate in all stages of the project lifecycle, encompassing requirement gathering, design, development, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
  • Greenfield Projects: Spearhead controls engineering efforts on new building projects, starting from the ground up.
  • System Integration: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to integrate control systems with other engineering disciplines, ensuring seamless operation across all systems.
  • Project Management: Support project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Technical Documentation: Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture, wiring diagrams, and operation manuals.
  • Customer Interaction: Collaborate closely with clients to comprehend their requirements, provide technical assistance, and ensure satisfaction with the solutions delivered.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical), Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in controls engineering, emphasizing PLC programming and SCADA/HMI development, particularly with Ignition.
  • Project Experience: Proven experience in participating in the full project lifecycle, with management experience being an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
  • Significant experience with SCADA systems, especially Ignition.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software for developing electrical schematics.
  • Project Management: Basic project management skills, including effective time, budget, and resource management.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in controls engineering or project management are advantageous.
