Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in performing high-quality imaging procedures and ensuring the accuracy of diagnostic results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust all equipment to perform exams, manually maneuvering transducers as needed.
  • Perform routine and complex studies, assisting in a variety of imaging procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning, reporting any potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Submit high-quality images and documents to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.

Requirements

  • Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Hold a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
