Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phlebotomy Instructor to join our Continuing Education team at Lone Star College. As a Phlebotomy Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Phlebotomy courses at various times and locations, supervising clinical laboratory learning experiences, and creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Phlebotomy courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Participate in clinical rotation assignments by supervising clinical laboratory learning experiences
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Interface with affiliated hospitals or free-standing laboratories to promote student experience and education
  • Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Meet with and advise students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Nursing licensure, or Medical Assistant licensure, or Phlebotomy certification
