The Senior Aerospace Control Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the development, integration, verification, and certification of electronic control systems for aircraft. This includes Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS), Auto-Throttle (AT), Emergency Auto-Land (EAL), and other critical flight systems.

This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal teamwork skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of direct experience as a control systems engineer in actual aircraft development programs (Part 23 or 25) and be proficient in Mathworks MATLAB/Simulink.

The salary for this position is approximately $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and certify control systems, including AFCS, AT, and EAL
  • Analytical design and development of closed-loop control systems
  • Define control systems integration, verification, and validation testing requirements
  • Execute automatic flight control system integration, safety-of-flight, and certification testing
  • Resolve problems from development, certification, production, and field support activities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • At least 7 years of direct experience as a control systems engineer in actual aircraft development programs
  • Proficient in Mathworks MATLAB/Simulink
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
