A senior electronics engineer position is available at American Honda Motor Co. to support the development, integration, and certification of electronic flight control systems.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience as a control systems engineer in actual aircraft development programs, with a strong background in requirements development, design, analysis, integration, testing, and system troubleshooting.

The key responsibilities of this role include designing, developing, and certifying advanced flight control systems, including architecture development, system requirements development, system integration, system safety, and system qualification.

This position also involves analytical design and development of closed-loop control systems, defining control systems integration, verification, and validation testing requirements, and executing Automatic Flight Control System integration, Safety-Of-Flight, and certification testing.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • At least 7 years of direct experience as a control systems engineer in actual aircraft development programs
  • Experience with high-integrity and fail-operational system architectures and data bus protocols
  • Fluency in systems requirements development and management
  • Working knowledge of modern control design methods (such as LQR) and aircraft stability and control analysis
  • Fluency in Mathworks MATLAB/Simulink
Estimated Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per year
