We're seeking a skilled Senior Facilities Technician to join our team at Argosy Casino Alton. Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain our Guest Service program, providing exceptional service to patrons and employees alike.
  • Respond to supervisor requests, assist other departments as needed, and comply with all reasonable management requests.
  • Participate in safety and emergency drills, ensure safety equipment is in working order, and take action to secure unsafe areas.
  • Conduct visual, manual, and auditory inspections of machinery, equipment, and structures, and perform repairs or maintenance as needed.
  • Clean and maintain heaters, air conditioning units, air handlers, filters, belts, coils, and other components.
  • Perform tasks to ensure the attractive and safe physical appearance of the facility, including snow removal, sweeping, cleaning, debris removal, landscaping, and power washing.
  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the facility and its contents, including painting, gluing, fabricating, and cleaning.
  • Install, maintain, replace, and repair plumbing, including toilets, sinks, sewage lines, and clogged drains and toilets.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical components of machinery and equipment.
  • Perform functions to ensure the facility remains balanced and floating, including maintenance and repairs of the tug and associated components.
  • Assist in all other repairs and maintenance work as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Ability to apply common mathematical concepts and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
