Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Technician

West Star Aviation is a leading maintenance repair organization in the industry, and we're seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of quality in our work.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, including removal and installation of panels and components, troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issues, and de-fueling aircraft.
  • Engine removal/installations, operating ground support equipment, inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components, and aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
  • Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling, as well as basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
Requirements:
  • A High school diploma or equivalent, and Airframe and Powerplant License are required. A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment with working under specific deadlines and time constraints.
  • Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments, and notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day and perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Working Conditions:

The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar, with work outside during aircraft runs and varied positions in and around the aircraft. Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment, jacks, stands, lifts, and other support devices, tugs, power carts, and other engine-powered equipment will be used.
