Job Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will provide specialized physical health care services for special education students, assist with medically complex student health needs, and offer school-level nursing support as required. This role requires planning, assessing, and administering student health care safely within the LVN Practice Act under the direction of a credentialed school nurse and under physicians' orders.

Requirements / Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited Vocational Nurses Training program and/or a Nursing program, and one year of related experience.
  • Specialized training in designated procedures required for this position.

Additionally, you must possess:

  • A valid registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of California, including the requirement for administration of prescribed medication.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • If required to operate a vehicle during the course of employment, a valid California Driver's License and evidence of insurability.
  • TB test clearance and Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance.
