As a key member of the nursing leadership team, the Manager of Patient Services for the Telemetry unit is responsible for overseeing a significant operational function that supports nursing activities within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the nursing leadership, this role encompasses management duties for one or more critical services or processes that enhance nursing operations. The manager will ensure that regulatory standards are effectively communicated and adhered to, while also collaborating with healthcare professionals to achieve departmental and hospital objectives.
Operational Management:
This position may involve 24/7 oversight of multiple nursing units, depending on the scope of responsibility. The manager will lead a team that may include Clinical Managers and other nursing supervisory staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
Performance Improvement:
The Manager will be tasked with planning, implementing, and evaluating processes related to performance enhancement, staffing effectiveness, and fiscal responsibility. This includes developing departmental policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Monitoring compliance with applicable laws and regulations is essential. The manager will ensure that the department meets JCAHO requirements and adheres to internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) with a preference for a Master’s degree. A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state is required, along with a minimum of three years of progressive nursing experience.
Work Environment:
This full-time position operates during day shifts, contributing to a collaborative and supportive healthcare environment.
