At DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership, you will be responsible for managing a single major function or multiple smaller functions that provide business support to nursing operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with a minimum of three years of progressive experience. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required, and a Master's degree is preferred. The successful candidate will be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.

As a Patient Services Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating processes related to performance improvement, staffing effectiveness, fiscal management, staff competence, and customer service outcomes within designated units or services. You will also collaborate with senior leadership and subordinate staff to achieve departmental, hospital, and DMC objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and monitoring budgets for designated areas
  • Initiating or recommending personnel actions, such as hires, fires, and disciplines
  • Completing performance appraisals and developing daily, monthly, and yearly goals and measures
  • Assisting in long-range goal development and assessing goal attainment
