Job Summary

We're seeking an Account Development Representative to identify net new prospects and high-value opportunities through outbound prospecting. This role is designed to provide skill progression and promotion into a full-cycle sales role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create quality opportunities and schedule meetings for our sales teams by using leads/contacts or accounts provided by marketing.
  • Become an expert on products and services to be sold and maintain relevant industry knowledge.
  • Maintain active engagement with leads through scheduled follow-up communications designed to increase customer interest in Avalara products.
  • Improve customer participation in webinars, certification events, and conferences.
  • Achieve monthly quotas of qualified and sales-accepted opportunities.

About the Role

This is an onsite role, based in Durham, with a 1-hour commute requirement. You will report into a Sales Manager and collaborate as a team member within the department and Avalara as a whole.
