The Deep Well Injection Specialist is accountable for the complete operation of the deep well injection site. This includes managing and maintaining equipment, overseeing the offloading and transfer of waste, conducting extraction and compatibility analysis, ensuring quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and preparing necessary operational documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Review the weekly deep well schedule and coordinate offloading, processing, waste disposal, and documentation of all related activities.
- Extract representative samples from various sources, ensuring proper labeling and adherence to established record-keeping standards.
- Execute quality control measures and basic laboratory procedures, utilizing equipment such as pH meters, centrifuges, and filtration meters.
- Conduct inspections of all process equipment every two hours, replenishing chemicals, monitoring performance, and performing minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Provide analytical support and troubleshoot non-routine issues, ensuring timely resolution of problems.
- Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts and laboratory supplies, initiating requisitions as necessary.
- Participate in training initiatives, assisting in the development and updating of standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Perform daily equipment calibrations and maintain communication through phone and mail as required.
- Supervise external contractors and truck drivers to ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
- Issue necessary permits for confined spaces, hot work, and line-breaking, and perform lockout/tagout procedures as needed.
- Conduct RCRA and safety inspections as mandated.
- Uphold housekeeping standards and ensure the use of personal protective equipment in work areas.
- Assist with plant maintenance, cleanup, and repairs during operational downtimes.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) is required, with a preference for candidates possessing a minimum of two years of experience in process operations.
Skills and Attributes:
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong teamwork abilities and a commitment to customer service excellence.
