Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of schematic design, including reviewing layouts, exporting Bill of Materials (BOM), conducting prototype bring-up, and troubleshooting issues throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Leadership: Lead all aspects of schematic design, including reviewing layouts, exporting Bill of Materials (BOM), conducting prototype bring-up, and troubleshooting issues throughout the development process.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team environment, engaging with teams specializing in signal integrity, power integrity, New Product Introduction (NPI), reliability, and certification.
  • Component Specification: Define component specifications and establish the system architecture to meet project requirements.
  • Customer Needs: Translate customer needs and requirements into detailed engineering specifications, ensuring the development of a viable and high-quality product.
  • Product Maintenance: Maintain and support the existing standard/ODM product line, ensuring its ongoing sustainability, and promptly address any production issues as they arise.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. In lieu of a degree, 4 or more relevant experience may suffice.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in x86/ARM based design is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written is essential.
  • Design Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in designing with high-speed signals, including PCIe Gen 4/5, DDR5, and USB 4, along with experience in signal integrity simulation, is highly desirable.
  • Reliability: Strong understanding of reliability requirements and the impact of engineering design choices on the production process.
  • Environmental Factors: Experience in designing for challenging environments such as extended temperature (-40°C to +85°C) and high mechanical stresses.
  • Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards such as COM Express Module, SMARC, or NVIDIA Jetson NX/AGX platform is highly desirable.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in OrCAD schematic capture and Allegro PCB layout is required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: Frequently required to sit; regularly use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear; and do things such as analytical work or reports, which requires focus, while utilizing a computer.
  • Equipment Operation: Must be able to operate general office equipment.
  • Physical Stamina: Physical stamina to stand, reach, bend, lift, grasp, and kneel.
  • Weight Limitation: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Visual Requirements: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Compensation

Our base pay range for this position is expected to be between $90,000 and $120,000 a year. Multiple factors are considered in determining base pay including an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
