Maintenance Manager Job Description

Niagara Bottling is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance of injection molding, blow molding, and packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Direct and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to schedule preventative maintenance activities and ensure seamless production operations.
  • Build and lead a high-performing maintenance team to maintain and improve equipment performance, quality, and safety.
  • Interface with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
  • Develop and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance or supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing maintenance teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience with maintenance management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance or supervisory role.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
