**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced design engineer for our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and delivering physical, electrical, civil, and communication design studies for new, upgraded, and expanded substations. This includes material procurement, construction, and commissioning/startup support through energization.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and develop detailed designs for substations, including calculations, drawings, exhibits, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with project engineers to execute best-in-class projects, ensuring coordination, quality control, and oversight of designers, drafters, and support staff.
  • Work closely with subject matter expert discipline groups on Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Protection, Civil Engineering, Communication, and Transmission & Distribution Engineering.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of experience in design engineering, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills, with ability to work in a team environment.
  • A commitment to quality, accuracy, and meeting fast-paced project schedules.
  • Fundamental knowledge of power engineering principles and applicable codes and standards.

**Estimated Salary:** $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and education.
