Overview:

As a Mechanical Assembly Specialist at PrideStaff, you will play a crucial role in the assembly of comprehensive systems and subassemblies as outlined by production orders and detailed in the corresponding schematics.

Your responsibilities will also encompass performance testing and, in certain cases, field commissioning and servicing of key products involving supplied motors and electrical controls.

The primary focus of your assembly tasks will include the installation of control panels on packaged systems and subsystems, as well as the sizing and routing of electrical conductors and conduits on both packaged systems and standalone products. You will also be tasked with installing software and firmware files to the appropriate products, programming operational parameters for software-driven products, and integrating peripheral devices such as temperature and pressure sensors.


Key Responsibilities:


- Assemble and disassemble pump units with precise tolerances and critical operational specifications.
- Complete electrical wiring, including sizing and routing conductors and conduits as necessary for both individual units and packaged systems, ensuring a single-point electrical connection.
- Program system parameters to facilitate functional testing of individual pumps and/or packaged systems.
- Document instrument readings as required.
- Operate drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to support assembly operations.
- Proficiently operate a forklift and other heavy machinery as needed.
- Adhere to the Company's ISO Quality Program and procedures, as well as all Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety initiatives to maintain a safe workplace.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


- Proficient in the use of mechanical tools, including measuring devices and air-powered hand tools.
- Competent in basic mathematical operations for material fabrication and testing calculations.
- Understanding of fundamental electrical principles and safety protocols.
- Capable of selecting, operating, and interpreting electrical/electronic testing and inspection instruments.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to convey and receive information.
- Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset.


Education and Experience:


- A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in building, assembling, and wiring pumps and/or packaged systems.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics and relevant exposure.
- Experience with both vertical and horizontal pump assembly is advantageous.
