We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Soliant. As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with students to improve their communication skills, enhancing their academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs to address each student's specific needs.
- Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct speech and language therapy services using evidence-based practices.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support and monitor student progress.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- IEP Meetings and Recommendations: Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert recommendations for accommodations and interventions.
- Staff and Parent Education: Educate and support school staff and parents on strategies to support students' speech and language development.
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid Florida SLP license.
- Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience: Experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
