Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily cleaning tasks in assigned locations using established protocols, including thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, and other designated spaces.
- Perform various cleaning duties such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and waste disposal, ensuring all areas are kept tidy and organized.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, requesting additional items as necessary, and ensuring proper storage and organization of equipment.
- Operate a range of cleaning machinery, including vacuums and floor scrubbers, to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols, especially in sensitive areas such as medication storage, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Provide orientation and training for new staff members regarding cleaning standards and practices.
Performance Standards
- Uphold quality and satisfaction standards for both patients and staff as outlined in performance evaluations.
- Comply with all requirements detailed in the Employee Handbook.
- Maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, adhering to behavioral standards.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Candidates must possess the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as communicate effectively with others. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position involves light physical work, including occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs and frequent handling of objects weighing between 10 to 20 lbs. Responsibilities include walking, standing, and climbing as necessary. Candidates should demonstrate manual dexterity and the ability to perform tasks requiring balance, reaching, and handling. Exposure to various substances, including bodily fluids and cleaning chemicals, is expected. Proper safety equipment must be worn as required. Clear communication skills and the ability to engage with groups are essential. Physical presence on-site is mandatory, and candidates must have normal or corrected hearing and vision. The role may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
