We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Olmsted Medical Group. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Participate in the care of patients under the direct supervision of physicians, podiatrists, physician assistants, or certified nurse practitioners, and in collaboration with the RN and healthcare team.
- Administrative Tasks: Greet and welcome patients, escort them to exam rooms, collect and document patient information, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
- Clinical Duties: Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing, perform and assist with taking x-rays, and prepare and administer oral and injectable medications and vaccines, per provider orders.
- Communication: Provide and reinforce appropriate age-specific patient education, health information materials, and community resources, as directed. Identify patient's need for additional information and refer to RN.
- Supply Management: Order, stock, and maintain exam rooms, special order items, and supply storage areas using par levels of supplies, medications, linens, forms, and equipment.
- Completion of Medical Assistant program
- Required to be a Certified (CMA) or Registered MA (RMA)
- BLS certification
- Previous clinic experience preferred
