Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train catering department employees to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Prepare and serve food at functions under the supervision of the Catering Director.
  • Meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements, address last-minute changes, and resolve problems.
  • Assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled catering functions.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils within the work area.
  • Clean equipment in a timely fashion and thoroughly clean the workstation before leaving the area for other assignments.
  • Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.
