Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated After School Program Coordinator to oversee our extended day initiatives at Guidepost Montessori. In this role, you will spearhead the introduction and execution of innovative curriculum tailored for our after-school programming. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with children and fulfilling your role as an Assistant Teacher while managing program logistics to ensure engaging and successful afternoon activities.

The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational skills and a strong sense of responsibility, providing support and direction to both children and staff. You will work under the supervision of the Head of School, contributing to the enhancement of our extended care offerings.

Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you for this position, focusing on enrichment activities and curriculum development. As an After School Program Coordinator, your work hours will be from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with additional preparation time and support in classrooms during the academic hours.

In addition to a competitive stipend, your role will involve implementing new curricula, organizing engaging activities, and fostering a positive community atmosphere within our extended care program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in training sessions
  • Leading various activities
  • Ensuring the overall success of the program
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Child Development or a related field
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities
