RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist physicians by delivering both clinical and administrative support
Provide essential physical care and implement therapeutic and medical protocols.
Gather patient histories and relevant medical data
Triage and evaluate patient health issues to determine suitable actions
Measure and report vital signs; collect laboratory specimens
Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the physician
Conduct procedures including IV placement, nebulizer therapy, and phlebotomy
Support medical and minor surgical interventions
Prepare patients for ongoing care post-treatment.
Manage wound care and dressing
Educate patients regarding scheduled procedures and self-medication techniques
Coordinate and monitor appointment schedules
Prepare examination areas; organize and maintain medical tools and supplies
Document patient status following consultations
Handle referrals; secure authorization for prescriptions as mandated by insurance providers
Oversee electronic and faxed prescription refill requests
Scan documents into patient records
Maintain inventory of examination room supplies and replenish as necessary Uphold high clinical standards
Ensure a safe and hygienic work environment through effective monitoring
