About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation process of our patients, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the guidance of a supervising Physical Therapist, you will acquire pertinent information and implement a comprehensive treatment program using varied techniques and treatment activities.
  • You will review and modify treatment in response to changing patient needs, identifying equipment and discharge needs.
  • You will assist patients in preparing for treatment and provide treatment to diverse diagnostic populations, completing supporting documentation according to hospital policy and State Practice Act.
  • You will communicate and collaborate with support personnel regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • You will apply physical agents, therapeutic exercises, or gait-training activities as outlined by the licensed Physical Therapist, progressing patients in an appropriate manner when deemed necessary.
Requirements
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Previous experience in patient care is preferred
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
