Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs to address the specific learning goals of each student.
  • Adapt instruction to accommodate various learning styles and special needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents to provide updates on student progress and strategies for growth.
  • Deliver one-on-one and small group lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to encourage a positive and productive learning space.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education required.
  • Active Special Education Teaching License for Maryland.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IEPs, differentiated instruction, and behavior management techniques.
