Job Title: Special Education Teacher (SPED)

Location: Folsom, CA

Job Type: Full-time

Introduction: We are actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join our team in Folsom, CA. As a SPED teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive a high-quality education tailored to their individual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring goals are measurable and aligned with academic standards.
  • Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to meet the unique learning styles and abilities of students.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies and assistive technologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, therapists, and other educators to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to promote academic growth and development.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress, IEP goals, and behavioral interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Valid California teaching credential with Special Education authorization.
  • Experience working with students with a range of disabilities, including autism, learning disabilities, and emotional disturbances.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and ADA.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to advocating for the educational needs of students with disabilities.
