Telecommunication Network Specialist

The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Network Technician to join our team in Gunnison, CO. As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications networks, including cable and fiber splicing, carrier systems repair, and installation of POTS and DSL services.
Main Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications networks, including cable and fiber splicing, carrier systems repair, and installation of POTS and DSL services.
- Enable wireless and wired networks on company-approved modems and routers.
- Connect wires and cables to terminals and attach/detach various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, buildings, poles, and inside facilities.
- Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems or issues.
- Perform continuity and/or conformance testing using test equipment such as 965DPS, T-Berd, and OTDR.
- Read and interpret customer service orders, repair tickets, technical drawings, maps, blueprints, diagrams, and perform specified work.
- Interact with customers professionally and courteously via telephone or on the premises.
- Review and discuss service order requirements with customers, evaluating customer service needs and recognizing and suggesting additional/alternative services as appropriate.
- Must work varying shifts and hours, including possible mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- May be assigned to work out of town for varying lengths of time.
- Requires a valid state driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- May require compliance with State and Federal Department of Transportation Drive Qualification Regulations, including drug and alcohol testing.
- May require a CDL.
- May climb and work at elevations exceeding 18 feet.
- May require pole climbing certification.
- May work in confined spaces, such as attics, crawl spaces, and utility holes.
- May perform strenuous physical activities, including lifting and/or moving objects weighing over 75 pounds.
- May perform job activities outdoors in different weather conditions.
Minimum Hourly Wage: $15.07
Maximum Hourly Wage: $39.83
This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
