Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Traffic Safety Specialist to join our team at Area Wide Protective (AWP). As a Traffic Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our clients, employees, and the general public in various work zones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain safe work zones using proper equipment and protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the safety of all personnel and the general public.
  • Manage traffic flow effectively using stop/slow paddles and other traffic control devices.
  • Deliver exceptional service and protection to our clients, including utility, broadband, and infrastructure companies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to advance from an entry-level position to long-term career opportunities.
Requirements
  • Flagger certification
  • 6+ months experience in traffic control
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours a day and lift 50-60 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings.
  • Experience driving
  • Must pass pre-employment screenings, including a drug test.
