Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including law enforcement, fire, EMS, and public safety entities
- Stay up-to-date on Dana Safety Supply products and services, and develop sales tools to effectively communicate their value to customers
- Proactively identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business
- Work closely with managers to ensure territory growth plans are met
- Be viewed as the key contact by end-users
- Work closely with managers to set, monitor, and achieve sales goals
- Proactively develop and maintain awareness of market behavior and competitive trends
- Remain up-to-date and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations
- Review orders for correct pricing and content
- Complete required reports and other paperwork in a timely manner
- Learn and navigate our computer systems
- Attend training and sales meetings
- Assemble and disassemble trade show booths
- Three years of outside sales experience (industry experience preferred)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to attend trade shows and other sales-related functions
- 75% of time spent traveling and visiting customers
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and maintain a professional appearance
- Thorough knowledge of products and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Minimum work week of 40 hours or whatever it takes to meet sales goals. Travel may include evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
