Job Summary

Briarcrest Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine daily nursing care to residents, adhering to federal, state, and local standards.
  • Treat each resident with kindness, dignity, and respect, maintaining a positive and calm demeanor.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, family members, visitors, and staff, using clear and empathetic language.
  • Work cooperatively with all departments and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Perform essential duties and responsibilities, including vital sign checks, wound dressing, and catheter insertion.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document resident progress notes and report any changes in condition to the nurse supervisor.
  • Assist and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as needed.
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order and monitor residents at risk for falls.
  • Collect lab samples and adhere to infection control policies.
  • Report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately.
  • Attend annual facility in-service training programs and complete other assignments as requested by management.
Requirements
  • Completion of LVN training from an accredited school or college.
  • Valid LVN license in good standing.
  • Valid CPR and BLS certification.
  • IV certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of skilled nursing experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Ability to use a computer or tablet to enter resident data.
Working Conditions

May encounter frequent interruptions and be involved with residents, family, and government agencies. May be requested to work beyond scheduled working hours at times and be subject to call-back during emergency conditions. May be exposed to odors, dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, or air contaminants, as well as infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.
