Job Summary

Amedisys is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in providing high-quality home healthcare services. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care to individuals in their homes, promoting independence, and improving their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit to ensure seamless delivery of care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and RNs to ensure patient needs are met, and notify them promptly of any changes in patient condition.
  • Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques to empower them to manage their health effectively.
  • Conduct vital sign checks and review medications to ensure accurate and safe care.
  • Perform specialized procedures as ordered by physicians, such as foley catheter changes.
  • Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Complete documentation timely and accurately to ensure compliance and quality of care.

Requirements

  • One year of clinical LVN experience.
  • Current LVN license, specific to the state(s) assigned to work.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.
