Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Café Service Associate plays a vital role in the preparation and sale of menu offerings within the community's bistro café. This position involves taking customer orders, processing payments, and managing cash transactions while ensuring accurate record-keeping. Additionally, the associate is responsible for inventory management, reporting supply requirements, and properly storing, labeling, and dating all food items.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Prepare and sell café items while delivering exceptional customer service.

B. Manage cash transactions and maintain accurate receipts.

C. Oversee inventory for the café.

D. Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the bistro area.

Qualifications:

Education:

A high school diploma or vocational training is preferred.

Training and Experience:

One to two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant setting.

All staff involved in direct resident care will possess current first aid training.

Job Knowledge:

A solid understanding of coffee and sandwich preparation and presentation is essential.

Skills:

Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
