Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Start up and shut down plant systems and components, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Operate, monitor, and control plant systems, visually inspecting equipment and process conditions to identify potential issues.
  • Perform basic maintenance repairs and upkeep on area equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Review, follow, and revise detailed process operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and safety procedures as needed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment to restore operation, analyzing charts and logs to identify potential or actual problems.
  • Identify system problems to stabilize plant operations and maintain normal conditions.
  • Train new operators in the area, reinforcing safety and environmental principles.
  • Loading and unloading of railcars and tank trucks, as well as performing laboratory analysis of products.
  • Clerical duties as required, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts and aerial lifts.
  • Participate in and lead site teams to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment/machinery.
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and learn new computer systems and software applications.
  • Current and valid driver's license, with willingness to obtain powered industrial truck certification.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a High Hazard environment, with exposure to outdoor and indoor conditions, elevated heights, and confined spaces. The successful candidate must be willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
