Legal Billing Specialist (In Office)
Are you an experienced Billing Coordinator eager to contribute to a progressive law firm? We are seeking a dedicated professional who excels in legal financial processes and enjoys working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately maintain billing records within the firm's CRM system.
- Efficiently manage the billing segment of new client onboarding.
- Process client payments and ensure they are applied to the correct accounts.
- Participate in Legal Team meetings to enhance communication between legal and billing departments regarding financial metrics.
- Collaborate with attorneys and administrative personnel to verify billing accuracy.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries about invoices.
- Thoroughly review invoices for accuracy prior to submission for payment.
- Diligently track and collect outstanding accounts receivable.
- Regularly reconcile bank and account balances to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable with meticulous attention to detail.
- Work alongside bookkeepers to maintain precise financial records.
- Provide weekly financial reports to firm leadership for analysis.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
- Strong ability to ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Experience in managing accounts receivable and client billing files is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Comfortable engaging in financial discussions.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
- Preferred: Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Prior billing experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with billing software such as Clio is preferred.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office is also a plus.
