About This Role

We're seeking a talented Real Estate Closing Specialist to join our Real Estate Investments Team. As a closing specialist, you'll be responsible for managing the closing and funding process for commercial mortgage loans and equity investments.

Your key responsibilities will include reviewing loan applications and purchase and sale contracts, identifying necessary closing requirements, and scheduling status calls with department staff and outside borrowers. You'll also order and review title insurance commitments and land surveys, resolve issues with title companies and surveyors, and prepare loan documents for review by in-house attorneys.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex real estate transactions and apply your problem-solving skills to identify and address risks. A bachelor's degree is required, or equivalent experience in commercial real estate transactions. A minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate closings or corporate law transactions is also required.

Key skills for this role include understanding corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies. If you have a keen problem-solving approach and can apply sound legal reasoning and practical business judgment, we encourage you to apply.

Northwestern Mutual offers competitive salaries based on geographic-specific structures. The estimated salary for this position is $ $90,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on location and factors such as skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
