About Our Organization
Founded in 1969, the Children's Center of the Stanford Community is a pioneering parent-cooperative childcare facility. Our commitment lies in fostering a collaborative environment among parents, educators, and administrative personnel, all dedicated to nurturing children aged 8 weeks to 5 years. We adopt a child-centered, experiential learning approach, drawing inspiration from renowned educational theorists and methodologies.


We are seeking passionate and skilled early childhood educators who are enthusiastic about working with infants aged 2-12 months.


Our educational framework employs a team teaching model, and we value individuals who are committed to continuous professional development.


Available Positions: Infant Teacher (2-12 months) and Toddler Teacher


Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM


Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the teaching team to design, oversee, and execute developmentally appropriate activities aligned with our educational philosophy.
  • Foster a nurturing learning environment that promotes emotional, cognitive, social, and physical development in children.
  • Maintain a developmental portfolio for each child.
  • Engage in regular communication with parents through daily interactions, newsletters, and conferences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Fully qualified as an infant teacher according to California State Licensing regulations.
  • Knowledge of emergent practices, play-based learning, and child-centered environments.
  • Experience in observing and documenting children's developmental milestones.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents in a supportive environment.
  • Strong communication skills with children, staff, and parents.
  • Interest in the latest developments in early childhood education.
  • Good organizational, writing, and technology skills.

Compensation: $34.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and education.


COVID-19 Safety Measures:
We prioritize the health and safety of our community members by adhering to state and county health guidelines, including health screenings, social distancing, and mask-wearing protocols. We also provide weekly onsite COVID-19 testing for our staff.


Education Requirements:

  • Associate degree (preferred).

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year in early childhood education (preferred).
  • Minimum of 1 year in center-based childcare (preferred).
  • Minimum of 1 year in infant or toddler care (preferred).
