Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the mechanical components of our robotic-assisted surgery systems. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components, including mechanisms, structures, and assemblies, using SolidWorks and other CAD software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met and products are delivered on time.
  • Investigate and resolve complex problems related to electro-mechanical components, manufacturing processes, and system performance.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the development of our team's technical expertise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience designing electromechanical products and integration into manufacturing.
  • Technical expertise in mechanism design, robotics, electro-mechanical systems, or complex medical product design.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and other CAD software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications

We welcome candidates with:

  • Experience in a regulated environment, such as FDA, Military, or FAA.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple complex projects in parallel and prioritize activities across projects.
  • Curiosity and excitement to learn new subjects and get to the bottom of tough technical problems.
