Guest Services Representative

The Host position is a key role in providing exceptional guest experiences at Montage International. As a Host, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting guests in a positive, welcoming, and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities- Consistently follow the Food & Beverage sequence of service, utilizing all proper procedures standardized by venue managers and chefs.
- Assist in providing analytical support and decision-making tools to the leadership team to help exceed desired business results.
- Work as a team and effectively communicate with management, chef, and service staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and other associates.
- Greet and seat guests, controlling the flow of guests coming into the restaurant, bar, and lounge while under pressure.
- Answer telephones and direct calls where necessary.
- Oversee daily restaurant reservations, pre-assign seating where necessary, and communicate with management, service staff, and chefs regarding special guest needs, requests, and VIPs.
- Previous hotel or restaurant experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task are required.
- Ability to read and write in English proficiently.
- Ability to follow directions well, make quick decisions, and keep organized while under pressure.
- Previous exposure to high-volume restaurant environments is preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience with computer-based reservations systems are preferred.
- Ability to operate a multi-line telephone.
- Positive attitude, self-motivation, politeness, energy, and a willingness to learn are essential.
The Host position requires the ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment, as well as delicate china and glassware, is necessary. Up to 50 lbs. must be lifted. Additionally, the ability to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period is required. This position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.
