We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Counselor to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide short-term, solution-focused behavioral health counseling services to patients and their families in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities- Counsel individuals, couples, and families with common mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress management, substance abuse, and psychosocial crisis.
- Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans with brief, specific, action-oriented interventions.
- Collaborate with other treatment team members in the clinical setting and act as a resource/consultant on behavioral health issues.
- Develop and facilitate group psycho-educational programs to address medical and mental health needs.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current licensure to practice independently in the State of Pennsylvania (LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, LPC, or LMFT).
- Two years' experience in mental health as a primary therapist or functional experience in therapeutic relationships as a primary clinician in another level of behavioral health care.
