Pharmacist - PRN Staff Position

Job Summary: Cardinal Health is seeking a PRN Staff Pharmacist to work as needed covering vacation/PTO and upcoming maternity leave at Brodstone Memorial Hospital. The facility is open Monday-Friday 6:30AM-4:30PM with 10-hour shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adjust and dispense medication to patients and drive the compliant and efficient operations of the pharmacy.
  • Verify physician orders using the pharmacy information system, make adjustments according to protocols for a given medication, and provide patient education.
  • Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and manage compliance tasks related to accreditation, narcotics control, and inventory management.

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of drugs and related protocols to verify physician orders for medications using pharmacy information system.
  • Supervise Pharmacy Technicians to ensure the compliant and efficient operations of the pharmacy.
  • Adjust dosages based on established protocols for each drug, ensuring that dosages are appropriate for the patient's condition and in light of other medications the patient is using.
  • Manage narcotics and inventory control and compliance, including regular documentation and completion of checklists.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-patient hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
  • IV compounding, specifically chemo, experience.

  • Anticipated hourly range: $48.70 per hour - $69.60 per hour.
  • Paid time off in compliance with applicable laws.
