Overview
FAR Inspections is a leading provider of residential occupancy verification services, partnering with mortgage lenders to ensure timely and accurate property updates. Our team of experienced inspectors works independently, earning predictable full-time or supplemental income while enjoying a flexible schedule.

Compensation
This 1099 position offers a flat rate per inspection, varying by county and volume. With rates ranging from $20-$30 per hour, inspectors can earn an estimated $40,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on their availability and territory. Additionally, no mileage reimbursement is provided above the flat fee per inspection.

Responsibilities
As a field inspection contractor, your primary duties will include:
  1. Verifying property occupancy through exterior inspections, with approximately 10% requiring interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
  2. Reporting general property conditions and making a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
  3. Completing a short form in a mobile application and taking 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
  • A reliable vehicle with good gas mileage (as you will be responsible for your own fuel expenses).
  • A smartphone (Android or iPhone) and a computer with an internet connection.
  • A printer and a valid driver's license for background check purposes.
