Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Crisis Services

Job Highlights:
  • Starting Pay: $25.00/hour
  • SIGN ON BONUS: $5,000 ($2,000 at hire; $1,500 at 6 months of employment; $1,500 at 12 months of employment)
Responsibilities:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse - Crisis Services, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling individuals for crisis and assessment services and triaging individuals who present with emergent medical and/or psychiatric problems.
  • Performing clinical intakes with individuals requesting services, coordinating with screening/referral and individuals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Completing documentation required to ensure that the medical record for crisis and assessment services meets state and accreditation standards, coordinating with STR, psychiatrists/nurse practitioners, providers, and crisis services staff.
  • Scheduling individuals for the Injection Clinic as well as doing injections of psychotropic medication, educating and supporting individuals about medication.
  • Completing documentation required to ensure that the medical record for crisis and assessment services meets state and accreditation standards, engaging with drug company representatives who supply samples or coupons.
  • Dealing effectively with a variety of people, which includes individuals requesting services, staff, providers, and the public.
  • Inputting electronic medical record documentation, including checking for Medicaid, IPRS, and Medicare status of individual receiving services.
  • Mailing correspondence to individuals receiving services and the provider community.
  • Attending and actively participating in meetings and training as required. Maintaining certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of and complying with all agency policies and procedures, as well as service definitions related to specific program areas.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of emergency procedures and assisting in crisis situations.
  • Completing all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Associates: Nursing, High School Diploma (Required)
  • Certifications: Drivers License (Valid) - USA, LPN - NC Board of Nursing
  • Experience: Psychiatric Nursing Experience
