Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the direction of nursing services for the unit, ensuring compliance with the Nursing Practice Act and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Delegate tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, monitoring their work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including their general physical and mental condition, for signs of adverse change.
  • Notify the attending physician of emergencies and patient deaths, and implement changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with proof of license renewal every other year.
  • Willingness to work as a charge nurse and adapt to emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • CPR certification, renewed annually.
  • Attendance at in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
