Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a part-time basis. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the Direction of Nursing Services: Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will assist in the direction of nursing services for the unit/hall, in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act.
- Delegate Duties and Monitor Work Performance: You will delegate duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitor their work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Observe Patients and Report Changes: You will observe patients for symptoms and/or reactions, including general physical and/or mental condition, and report any changes to the attending physician.
- Implement Changes in Orders: You will assist with notifying the attending physician of emergencies and death of patients in the unit, and implement changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned: You will perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Education and Licensure: High school graduate and licensed practical nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and submit proof of license renewal every other year.
- Work Experience and Skills: Willing to work as charge nurses, and work as needed during emergencies to assure adequate coverage. Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing. CPR certified yearly.
- Professional Development: Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
