About the Role

As a Medical Transcription Specialist at Alverno Laboratories, you will play a crucial part in supporting our Pathology services by transcribing medical dictation and maintaining accurate records of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe medical dictation to create permanent patient care records
  • Type miscellaneous reports and maintain accurate filing systems
  • Support Pathology services in the laboratory by retrieving slides and reports as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Accurate typing skills of at least 50 wpm
  • At least one year of related experience and/or transcription training
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of printer usage
  • Previous experience with hospital information systems preferred
