About the Role
As a Medical Transcription Specialist at Alverno Laboratories, you will play a crucial part in supporting our Pathology services by transcribing medical dictation and maintaining accurate records of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe medical dictation to create permanent patient care records
- Type miscellaneous reports and maintain accurate filing systems
- Support Pathology services in the laboratory by retrieving slides and reports as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Accurate typing skills of at least 50 wpm
- At least one year of related experience and/or transcription training
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of printer usage
- Previous experience with hospital information systems preferred
