Responsibilities
This position requires a skilled professional to perform the following duties:

  • Deliver palliative and end-of-life care to patients, collaborating with medical staff and other palliative care team members
  • Conduct bedside evaluations, assessing patient needs and formulating holistic plans of care
  • Identify potential referrals for palliative care, assess patient goals, and determine appropriate levels of care
  • Work closely with physicians and clinical staff to manage patient symptoms and provide education on palliative care and hospice services

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in acute hospital settings, oncology, and/or hospice
  • Palliative Care Certification or active pursuit with expected completion within 18 months
  • Current licensure to practice nursing in Louisiana

North Oaks Medical Center offers a competitive salary range of $ $93,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
