The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is a comprehensive division within the UNM School of Medicine, dedicated to providing exceptional education, top-tier mental health services, and pioneering research.

We are currently seeking a Project Assistant to join our administrative team, preferably with work-study experience, though it is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Support: Assist in the implementation of various initiatives that require effective communication, strong organizational skills, resourcefulness, and diligence.
  2. Reception Duties: Manage front desk operations, welcome and guide visitors, handle phone inquiries, take messages, sort and distribute correspondence, and perform various clerical tasks.
  3. Data Management: Contribute to data entry for multiple projects, including medical documentation support, database maintenance, data quality assessments, and filing.
  4. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare documents and presentations, assist in reporting, create promotional materials, and support document review and formatting tasks.

This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, meticulous attention to detail, reliability, and a patient demeanor. The ideal candidate will be responsive to requests, resourceful, and adaptable, with strong administrative and organizational capabilities, as well as excellent customer service skills.
