About the Role

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a highly skilled Construction Administrator/Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, reports, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning.
  • Lead meetings and interact with contractors, architects, engineers, and ownership groups.
  • Complete and document field inspections.
  • Observe startup and pre-functional test activities.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and help resolve MEP operation issues.
  • Develop startup and testing forms.
  • Administer functional testing of MEP and control systems.
  • Collect test data and present findings.
Requirements
  • 2+ years combined building systems commissioning and retro-commissioning experience.
  • 4+ years combined HVAC and controls experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Commissioning or retro-commissioning certification preferred.
  • Commissioning certification (CxA / CCP, QCxP, etc.) is a plus.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical design experience preferred.
  • Test and balance certification a plus.
  • Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • National standard commissioning and retro-commissioning processes (i.e. ASHRAE, ACG, NEBB, LEED, BCA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures and operations a plus.
  • Highly organized, with ability to prioritize and manage fast-paced projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs. Cloud programs (CxAlloy, Procore, Newforma, etc.) a plus.
  • LEED Certification and experience a plus.
