About the Role:
As a vital member of the Advanced Engineering Group, you will play a crucial role in enhancing human health through innovative engineering solutions. This position involves supporting Engineering Staff on Capital and Plant Support Projects, with budgets ranging from $15M to $150M.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage medium-sized projects from inception to completion, focusing on Equipment Design and Mechanical & Fluid Process Engineering.
- Oversee contractors across various disciplines, ensuring effective coordination of mechanical assembly and hands-on engineering tasks.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and materials to identify critical drivers and implement appropriate controls.
- Develop and execute qualification efforts for changes in manufacturing processes and the introduction of new products.
- Utilize technical software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and advanced 3D CAD Software with proficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with foundational knowledge in the converting or process industry.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and machinery, alongside a solid understanding of industrial safety standards.
- Ability to lead cross-functional engineering programs, leveraging both internal and external resources.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in evaluating systems to identify root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Familiarity with statistical methods and structured problem-solving approaches.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and process validation techniques.
